January is rapidly coming to a close which means Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. This weekend I started working on some Valentine’s Day crafts and gathering Valentine’s decor inspiration on Pinterest. There are so many cutesy Valentine’s Day decor and crafts that I have pinned away like crazy, but today I am sharing a round up of photos featuring more chic and elegant Valentine’s Day decorating ideas that are so inspiring!
Each Valentine’s Day I go for an elegant look by using vintage Valentine’s, fresh roses, old sheet music and hand written antique postcards in romantic vignettes around our home. Last year I shared how I decorated my piano with a Vintage Valentines and Roses theme.
My Valentine’s Day decor always has a very vintage cottage feel, but I also love the look of combining a bit of modern chic elements mixed in with traditional-vintage to create chic and elegant Valentine’s Day style.
What’s not to love here? The mantel styling and handmade love banner is so adorable, but I am just crazy for those pink tulips in the Frenchy galvanized bucket! Anything French is perfect for Valentine’s Day!
If farmhouse style is more your cup of tea, you can still create chic and elegant Valentine’s Day displays. This farmhouse-Boho Valentine’s Day mantel decor is chic in it’s simplicity.
Blush pinks, greys and other neutrals form a beautiful alternative color scheme to traditional red and bubble gum pink for Valentine’s Day.
How gorgeous is this shabby chic and French Country Valentine’s Day decor? I can’t get enough of those pillows!
Pillows and pillow covers are perfect for adding a bit of Valentine’s Day in with your everyday decor if you don’t want to go over the top with roses, hearts and cupid. Soft pastels and vintage style garden themed pillows can transition easily right into spring. Since Valentine’s Day is a winter holiday, don’t forget to create cozy winter style using beautiful throws and blankets too.

In fact, anything chippy seems to look more elegant and romantic when styled with roses and other vintage treasures.
I do love roses, but tulips are my favorite Valentine’s Day flowers! I love the addition of the elegant vintage style paper hearts in this farmhouse cottage display.

Pink and gold look chic and stylish in this pretty tablescape. The simple centerpiece of pink tulips in a glass jar paired with an antler is somewhat rustic chic too.
My talented friend Angelina of Petite Haus set an elegant Valentine’s Day tablescape using vintage tea cups in floral patterns, fresh flowers, romantic vintage lace as a table runner, candles in lovely crystal holders and a beautiful bouquet of pink tulips.
Sweet Jamie of So Much Better with Agedesigned a gorgeous French Valentine’s Day tablescape using fresh pink roses. I bet it smelled as heavenly as it looks!

Along with toile, ticking and red French stripes are perfect patterns for Valentine’s Day!
I used red and white ticking along with muslin, vintage lace, crocheted ribbon and yarn to make a DIY Shabby Farmhouse Heart Rag wreath. This wreath has been a big hit with readers! I also made a neutral heart rag wreath which I will be sharing later this week.
Are you decorating for Valentine’s Day? I will be adding some cute and trendy Valentine touches in kitchen, but I will also have just a few elegant and vintage French inspired Valentine’s Day vignettes in other rooms. Over the next few days I will be sharing several Valentine’s Day craft DIY’s, so be sure to stop back by to check them out.
Thanks for visiting today! Have a LOVELY week ahead!
