How long to bake chicken wings at 400?
Bake the chicken wings for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown at 400 degrees F.
Do I put sauce on wings before or after baking?
Bake the wings without the sauce. Then dip them in the sauce after the wings are done cooking. Be sure to dry the wings with a paper towel before seasoning and baking. This will help the wings become crispy while baking, making them perfect for dipping in the sauce of your choice.
How do you know when wings are done?
Look at the texture of the chicken. If it is still jiggly or has a rubbery or shiny appearance, then the chicken is not done yet. If there is any red juice coming from the chicken, that is another way to tell that it is not done cooking yet. The most accurate way to tell if the wings are done is to use an instant-read thermometer. The internal temperature of the wings should be 165 degrees F.
