Melvor Idle's third expansion has been announced and it's taking us to Xon's Abyssal Realm!

The expansion adds a trove of new content to all of the base professions in the game, a new exclusive-to-the-abyss combat skill called Corruption, and a brand new type of skill level called Abyssal Skill Levels which caps out at 60. The expansion at a glance appears to be the largest one yet for everyone's favourite Runescape-adjacent incremental game.

Additionally, there are some feature's we've seen from the above screenshots that weren't mentioned directly. Note that screenshots are from a development build and may not represent the product that is being released.

  • There appear to be new slots on your equipment page.
  • A new edible fish provides 1000% additional food healing when you are using Abyssal Damage.
    • The same fish also provides a passive bonus that ignores laceration.
  • All your Abyssal Skill Levels will display under the main skill level.
  • Strongholds have received their own combat menu, with 4 new Abyss sections added as well.
  • Corruption involves unlocking bonuses by defeating monsters that have that corruption active.

If you're looking to prepare for the expansion, now is your time to get your Attack Level to 99 and to get completing the Impending Darkness dungeon. You will need to hit both of these requirements in order to start playing around with the expansion content.

Additionally, unlocking skills to 99 is essential to unlock new skills-based content in the expansion. Also, get yourself more bank slots, because with over 900 new items being added, you know you're going to need them.
